Deep Sjeng by Gian Carlo Pascutto has won CCT 13!

The event was fun for the most part, but a mysterious connection issue for some participants will be a talking point for months to come.

Junior, Crafty, and Fruit were the unlucky participants that had to forfeit games due to the disconnection rule but several others were at the disconnection limit several time throughout the event.

The Junior team after having to forfeit their second game out of 5 decided that the issues would likely continue, and after discussing the matter with the Tournament Director, it would be best to toss in the towel and withdraw from the event.

Crafty in round 7 disconnected and failed to return thus losing it’s second game of the event due to the disconnection rule, and didn’t return until well into the third round of the blitz event; thus not participating.

I would like to thank LightKnight(TM) for running the Blitz Event for me as I had to unexpectedly had to deal with a family issue.

We will have many points to discuss before the next event, and as always the discussion will take place on Talkchess.com.
